With such immense adoption that Bitcoin is seeing, it is only about time that Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg came around. He might have dropped some hints towards his subtle Bitcoin holding as he posted a picture of two of his goats, one named max and the other named Bitcoin. This has conveniently left the crypto space into a bizarre sense of confusion regarding either he owns a large stash of Bitcoin and has been secretively investing, or this isn’t as it sounds.
According to some, Zuckerberg is not into Bitcoin at all, and the post only means a strategic hit to those who are investing in Bitcoin. But according to some more enthusiastic parties, it could be a hint towards a massive bullish run that is inevitable given Mark has entered into the crypto space.
Facebook might be Coming around with a Cryptocurrency Project anytime now
According to entrepreneur Anthony Scaramucci, there is something else at play here; he thinks that Mark’s hiring of David Marcus, who is a former PayPal employee hints at a crypto-oriented project for Facebook that mark is diverging on. Mark hiring David means that the project is real, and he wants only the best to take care of various interests of the project; it also seems that Mark is paying good attention to Bitcoin, and it is before long that the news about Mark Zuckerberg secretively building a Bitcoin empire will be bursting out.
But all of these are speculations at this part and nothing for sure. However, there is a lingering air of doubt, is Mark going to invest in the cryptocurrency for himself, or is it for one of his companies? This is something that is not clear at the moment, but as this thing progresses, it will become more visible then.
The speculations that Anthony has at the moment can’t simply be subjected to rumors as the news regarding Facebook making a hefty move towards buying Bitcoin since the beginning of this year has been around. Where is this thing going? No one knows for sure, but theories and wild guesses are there, and the internet is full of them at the moment if you want to have at it, but until Mark himself or one of Facebook’s representatives confirm the news of the company buying or investing in Bitcoin these fragments of news will remain rumors.
